Distribution of Funds
Operations Santa Claus works through over 30 local schools and child oriented agencies. There is also a committee to meet the needs of children not covered in those areas. After the children are identified and the need is determined, volunteers shop for these specific needs. The volunteers are equipped with lists of items and the sizes needed. The names of the children are kept anonymous.
Once the shopping for food and clothing is completed, all of the gifts and the foodstuffs are packed in boxes for transporting. Deliveries of items are also done by volunteers. In some areas the parents pick up the gifts at designated sites. Every effort is made to make deliveries or pickups while the children are in school so they do not know where the gifts come from.
Local Funds Help Local Children
